new works by Cindy Davis at Currant

I just delivered a load of new work to Currant in Woodstock, Ga. If you haven't visited downtown Woodstock lately, it is HOT, HOT, HOT with tons of new shops and restaurants and brand new warehouse style loft condos. It is definitely a neighborhood about to explode.

So much is happening with my art, I really haven't had a chance to update my website that often. I have three exhibits going on, in Albany, Valdosta, and Ft. Valley, Georgia. See events page for details.

My web design business is growing rapidly, I continue to face that age old artist's struggle of finding balance in creating your art and creating a vialbe means of supporting yourself. I have a strong need to do both or else my life, or my mental outlook, deterioates.

For the past couple of months, I have been painting, gasp, traditional oil landscapes. I know these exercises will help me with my abstract painting. With this different influence, I am curious to see what spews out when I get back to the abstracts this fall when the summer heat breaks.

About Me

I like to paint with large brushes, paper towels, and kitchen gadgets. I paint mostly from my imagination, often focusing on a single word for my inspiration.

The best way to "get it" is to take a look at my paintings. I enjoy communicating with my paintings and it makes be happy when my collectors connect with my work.
